CALVIN HARRIS ACCIDENTADO

El fin de semana pasado el DJ Calvin Harris sufrió un accidente de coche quando iba de camino al aeropuerto de Los Ángeles, como copiloto, en un Cadillac todoterreno cuando chocó contra un descapotable que invadió la calzada contraria. Conducía una joven de 16 años que iba acompañada por un grupo de amigos.





El novio de Taylor Swift fue trasladado al hospital más cercano con lesiones en la cara aunque acabo abandonado las instalaciones porque no tenia una habitación privada para él.

El propio Harris publicó un comunicado en su Facebook anunciando la suspensión de varias de sus actuaciones. Los ocupantes del otro vehículo tampoco sufrieron heridas de gravedad.

Martin Garrix realizó un concierto especial para sordos

El Dj neerlandés Martin Garrix dio un concierto único en Miami. Como parte de la iniciativa “Music lifts you up: A concert for the deaf”, el músico junto a sus patrocinadores de 7UP, se encargaron de reunir a diferentes personas que sufren de sordera para llevarlos a un evento donde no sólo vieron al Dj, sino sintieron la música y la apreciaron como sólo ellos saben.

Los invitados contaron que son capaces de escuchar a través de los sonidos bajos en la música y así sentirla en todo el cuerpo. El músico, tomando en cuenta la declaración, adecuó una sala en la que el equipo de sonido estaba hecho para transmitir principalmente las frecuencias bajas.

A cada asistente se le repartió una mochila que proyectaba el sonido directamente a sus cuerpos y también instaló elementos visuales, de movimiento y vibración para que nunca perdieran la esencia de la música.

Este es uno de los muchos esfuerzos para transmitir la música a las personas que sufren esta discapacidad. Diferentes festivales del mundo cuentan con traductores en el escenario que presentan las letras con idioma de señas.

Concierto para sordos

Bassjackers

Best friends since high school, DJ, Marlon Flohr, and producer, Ralph van Hilst came together in 2007 to create the Dutch duo known as Bassjackers. Marlon, the wild and outspoken half of Bassjackers, lives for the spotlight and being on stage performing for massive crowds. His counterpart, Ralph, on the other hand, is laidback and introverted, preferring his behind-the-scenes role as producer. Their opposing personalities are a perfect combination for this unique one dj-one producer collaboration.
The duo exploded onto the scene and in 2011 their dancefloor bomb “Mush Mush” was picked up by Tiësto and released on his label Musical Freedom. The track dominated the Beatport top 10 chart for over two months and was one of the biggest festival tracks of the year. This was a sign of things to come.
Since then, Bassjackers have reached massive new heights in their career with numerous chart-topping bangers and hit collaborations with the likes of Martin Garrix, Afrojack, KSHMR, Dyro, R3hab, and Showtek, to name a few, as well as remixes for A-list artists including Rihanna, Enrique Iglesias, Moby, and Ne-Yo. At the top of their game, Bassjackers continue to tear up stages worldwide and wow crowds along the way.

Absuelto un guardia civil que había sido sancionado como Dj

El Tribunal Supremo sentenció en favor del guardia civil Pedro Antonio B.P. al que se le había sancionado de empleo durante tres meses y un día por parte del Ministerio de Defensa por que se consideró que había ejercido como DJ en dos pubs de Valencia.

Según parece, el guardia civil habría estado pinchando en varias ocasiones entre octubre de 2010 y diciembre de 2012, algo que quedó acreditado con varias fotos suyas en las cabinas de ambos clubs publicadas en Facebook y con su nombre en la publicidad de los locales. Este hecho sirvió para que desde el Ministerio de Defensa se le sancionara.

Finalmente el asunto llegó hasta el Tribunal Supremo que ha dictaminado la suspensión de la sanción.

Martin Garrix

Part of the explosion of Dutch EDM DJs who emerged during the 2012-2013 season, Martin Garrix kicked off his career in a high-profile way, first landing on the dance charts with his 2012 remix of "Your Body". Born Martijn Garritsen, the then-16-year-old DJ spent 2012 remixing Cristina Agilera, signing with Spinnin' Records, and releasing the "BFAM" single in collaboration with other big DJ, Julian Jordan. In 2013 he released his solo single "Animals," which hit number one in the U.K. and reached the Top Ten in eight other countries for example Spain.
The following year was a busy one: early in 2014, "Wizard" (featuring Jay Hardway) charted Top Ten across Europe, and "Helicopter" (featuring Firebeatz) did nearly as well. Garrix also found time to perform and mix the world over, climbing as high as number four in DJ MAG Top 100 list.
